The University of Colorado football team just underwent a massive upgrade to their facilities. Improvements included a state of the art weight room, featuring custom weights, and an indoor fieldhouse – as well as a locker room enrichment. The new space features a luxurious movie theater, a new cafeteria, meeting rooms and an equipment room.
One enhancement near and dear to our heart is the game room filled with billiards and arcade games. Newly hired football coach Deion Sanders (Coach Prime) wanted the game room to feature competitive arcade games for his players to enjoy. When CU alum Somerset McCarty saw the a video of the games in the locker room, he noticed one of the best and most competitive games missing, Bubble Hockey. Somerset gifted to Deion Sanders our Super Chexx Bubble Hockey for the new facility. The game features our beloved Buffalo Sabres taking on the Colorado Avalanche. This will surely be enjoyed by the players for years to come.
Dan Coppola elaborated “It is not uncommon for our games to be part of a locker room. They help teams build camaraderie through play. We have worked closely with such iconic institutions in the past such as, Alabama, Baylor, Boston College, Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and USC. Whether our games are in the locker rooms or in the student lounges, they are continually embraced by today’s college students.”
